Description

This classic pie is perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan. Pre-bake for 7–10 minutes if a crisper base is desired.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add melted butter, vinegar, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until the filling is smooth.
  5. Pour the filling into the pie crust and tap the pan to release air bubbles.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
  7. Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack before slicing. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
