- 1 9-inch pie crust
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan. Pre-bake for 7–10 minutes if a crisper base is desired.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add melted butter, vinegar, and vanilla.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until the filling is smooth.
- Pour the filling into the pie crust and tap the pan to release air bubbles.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
- Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack before slicing. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
