These butter cookies are soft, delicious, and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 1 cup Butter (Unsalted, Room temperature)
- 1 1/4 cups Granulated sugar
- 3 Egg yolks (From large eggs)
- 2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp Almond extract
- 2 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp Cream of tartar
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg yolks, vanilla extract and almond extract and mix until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda and cream of tartar.
- Dump this dry mixture into the wet mixture and mix everything until you have a dough-like mixture.
- Scoop out small portions of the dough and roll them into little balls.
- Place them on a cookie tray, lined with parchment paper.
- Bake these cookies at 350 degrees F for 13-15 minutes or until they are golden brown around the edges and slightly soft in the center. Enjoy!
Notes
- For best results, use room temperature butter.
- Do not overbake to maintain softness.
