Description

A delicious and decadent chocolate cake with salted caramel and chocolate frosting.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chocolate frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla, and beat briefly until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fold in the salted caramel sauce gently to create ribbons.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
  9. Frost with chocolate frosting and drizzle extra salted caramel on top.
