A hearty and delicious Pepperoni Meat Lovers Lasagna Bake.

- 9 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- to taste salt and pepper
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Prep Work:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the Meats:
- In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the ground beef and Italian sausage, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Assemble the Lasagna:
- In a greased baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce.
- Place three lasagna noodles on top.
- Spread a layer of ricotta cheese, followed by half of the beef and sausage mixture, a handful of mozzarella cheese, and a layer of pepperoni slices.
- Repeat layers: sauce, noodles, ricotta, meat, mozzarella, and pepperoni.
- Top with remaining noodles, sauce, the rest of the mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and extra pepperoni.
- Bake:
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Serving:
- Let the lasagna cool for at least 10 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped onions and bell peppers when browning the meat.
- Use a combination of cheeses like provolone or cheddar for a richer taste.
- Allow the lasagna to rest before cutting to help it hold its shape.
