Description

A quick and delicious Garlic Butter Noodle Stir Fry that’s easy to make and packed with flavor!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz noodles (spaghetti, ramen noodles, or lo mein noodles)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • ½ cup julienned carrots
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles – Start by bringing a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions until just tender. Drain them well and set aside. If you grew up watching family members cook noodles, you probably know the simple trick: don’t overcook them. Slightly firm noodles work best for stir frying.
  2. Melt the garlic butter – Heat a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add the butter and let it melt slowly. Once melted, add the minced garlic and stir gently. Within seconds, the garlic will become fragrant and lightly golden. This step is where the signature flavor of Garlic Butter Noodle Stir Fry begins.
  3. Add the vegetables – Toss in the cabbage and carrots. Stir fry them for about 2–3 minutes until they soften slightly but still keep a little crunch. The colors start to brighten, making the dish look just as appealing as it tastes.
  4. Add the noodles – Add the cooked noodles to the pan. Using tongs or chopsticks, gently toss them with the garlic butter mixture so every strand becomes coated in flavor.
  5. Season the stir fry – Pour in the soy sauce, sesame oil, and oyster sauce. Sprinkle in red pepper flakes if you enjoy a little heat. Continue tossing the noodles until everything is evenly mixed.
  6. Finish and garnish – Turn off the heat and add sliced green onions. Give the noodles one final toss before serving. Now your Garlic Butter Noodle Stir Fry is ready to enjoy.
