- 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 8 ounces medium pasta shells
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta:
– In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the pasta shells and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside. - Sear the Beef:
– In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
– Add the beef pieces, season with salt and pepper, and sear until browned on all sides. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside. - Prepare the Sauce:
– In the same skillet, add more oil if needed and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
– Add minced garlic and paprika; sauté for another minute.
– Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. - Combine Ingredients:
– Reduce the heat to low, stir in the heavy cream, and gradually add the cheddar cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
– Return the cooked pasta to the skillet and stir to coat with the sauce.
– Add the seared beef back to the skillet and toss everything together. - Serve:
– Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute beef sirloin with another cut of beef for a different texture.
- Experiment with different cheeses for varied flavors.
- Ensure not to overcook the beef so that it remains tender and juicy.
- For extra spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes when sautéing the garlic.
