Description

A creamy and hearty dish made with beef, pasta, and a rich cheese sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 ounces medium pasta shells
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    – In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the pasta shells and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sear the Beef:
    – In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.
    – Add the beef pieces, season with salt and pepper, and sear until browned on all sides. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Prepare the Sauce:
    – In the same skillet, add more oil if needed and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.
    – Add minced garlic and paprika; sauté for another minute.
    – Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer.
  4. Combine Ingredients:
    – Reduce the heat to low, stir in the heavy cream, and gradually add the cheddar cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
    – Return the cooked pasta to the skillet and stir to coat with the sauce.
    – Add the seared beef back to the skillet and toss everything together.
  5. Serve:
    – Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute beef sirloin with another cut of beef for a different texture.
  • Experiment with different cheeses for varied flavors.
  • Ensure not to overcook the beef so that it remains tender and juicy.
  • For extra spice, add a pinch of red pepper flakes when sautéing the garlic.
