  • 2 tablespoons (30g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Make sure the cocoa powder is evenly distributed so there are no bitter clumps later.
  2. Mix the Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and slightly frothy.
  3. Bring it All Together: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and gently stir until just combined. Don’t overmix — the batter should be slightly lumpy to keep the pancakes tender.
