Description

Delicious and fun Pepperoni Pizza Roses made with dough, cheese, and pepperoni.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 20 slices pepperoni
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • fresh basil leaves optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and lightly grease a 12-cup muffin pan.
  2. Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Cut dough into 12 strips approximately 1 inches wide and 8 inches long.
  4. On each strip, lay two pepperoni slices end to end and sprinkle with a mix of mozzarella and Parmesan.
  5. Starting at one end of the strip, gently roll up into a rose shape and place in a muffin cup.
  6. Brush each rose with olive oil and sprinkle with Italian seasoning and salt.
  7. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes until dough is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes, then remove from pan and serve with marinara sauce and basil.
