Description
These cheesy cheeseburger sliders are a perfect party food, combining the flavors of burgers in an easy-to-serve format.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs lean ground beef (85% lean)
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ white onion, diced
- 12 slider-sized Hawaiian rolls (1 package)
- 12 (¾ oz.) cheese snack bars, any flavor
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted (½ stick)
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 3 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- ½ tbsp sesame seeds, plus more for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the beef and sliders.
- In a large bowl, combine the lean ground beef, garlic powder, kosher salt, and ground black pepper, mixing gently to distribute the spices evenly without overworking the meat.
- Press the seasoned beef mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it into a flat, even layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. After baking, carefully drain off any liquid and set the beef aside.
- Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise. Lay the bottom halves in a lined baking pan, creating a base for the sliders. Spread the cooked ground beef evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced white onion and stir to coat with oil. Cook until the onions become translucent and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
- Spread the sautéed onions evenly over the cooked beef layer. Then, top with the cheese snack bars, placing one on each slider portion.
- Cover the sliders with the top halves of the Hawaiian rolls.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter, kosher salt, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and sesame seeds to create a flavorful glaze.
- Brush the butter glaze generously over the tops of the slider buns. Sprinkle additional sesame seeds on top for garnish if desired.
- Place the assembled sliders in the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the rolls are toasted and the cheese has melted perfectly.
- Remove from the oven, slice into individual sliders, and serve hot.
- Enjoy your flavorful, cheesy cheeseburger sliders!
Notes
- These sliders can be customized with different types of cheese or additional toppings like pickles or jalapeños.
- For extra flavor, consider marinating the onions before cooking.
