Description

Delicious grilled chicken sandwiches with melted cheese, fresh lettuce, and tomatoes, served on toasted bread.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 slices cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
  • 4 slices bread (whole grain or white)
  • 1 cup lettuce leaves
  • 1 large tomato, sliced
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken with garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and olive oil for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until juices run clear. Add cheese during the last minute to melt.
  3. Lightly toast bread slices while chicken cooks.
  4. Assemble by spreading mayonnaise on toasted bread; layer lettuce, tomato, and grilled chicken with melted cheese.
  5. Serve immediately after cutting sandwiches in half.
