- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 slices cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
- 4 slices bread (whole grain or white)
- 1 cup lettuce leaves
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
Instructions
- Marinate chicken with garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and olive oil for at least 15 minutes.
- Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side until juices run clear. Add cheese during the last minute to melt.
- Lightly toast bread slices while chicken cooks.
- Assemble by spreading mayonnaise on toasted bread; layer lettuce, tomato, and grilled chicken with melted cheese.
- Serve immediately after cutting sandwiches in half.

- You can add other vegetables like cucumbers or pickles for extra crunch.
