Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 package ready-to-roll fondant

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition; stir in vanilla.
  5. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet mixture until just mixed.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  7. Once cooled, roll out fondant on a powdered sugar-dusted surface and cut shapes to decorate cookies.
