Description

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe plums, halved and pitted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt butter in a round cake pan and add sugar to create a caramel layer.
  3. Arrange plum halves on top of the caramel.
  4. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. In another bowl, beat eggs, then add milk and vanilla.
  6. Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
  7. Pour the batter over the plums in the pan.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let it cool for 10 minutes and then invert onto a serving plate.
