Description

Delicious Loaded Cheesy Bacon Fries topped with cheddar cheese sauce, crumbled bacon, and fresh parsley.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb frozen French fries
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese sauce
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • as needed olive oil or cooking spray
  • as needed fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare Fries: Spread the frozen French fries on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil or spray with cooking spray. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Bake Fries: Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until golden and crispy. Flip halfway through cooking.
  4. Prepare Cheese Sauce: While the fries are baking, warm the cheddar cheese sauce in a small saucepan over low heat.
  5. Cook Bacon: If not already done, cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain on paper towels and crumble once cool.
  6. Assemble Fries: Once fries are done, remove them from the oven. Transfer to a serving platter or keep on the baking sheet.
  7. Add Toppings: Pour the warm cheese sauce over the fries. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  8. Bake Again: Return the fries to the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Finish with Bacon: Remove from the oven and top with crumbled bacon.
  10. Garnish: Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, soak the fries in cold water for about 30 minutes, then pat them dry before baking.
  • Feel free to customize with additional toppings like jalapeños, onions, or sour cream.
  • Experiment with different types of cheese for varied flavor profiles, such as mozzarella or pepper jack.
