Ingredients

- 1 cup warm water (110°F)
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 ¼ tsp)
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ cup baking soda
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
- In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
- Place in an oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and add baking soda.
- Boil each pretzel bite for about 30 seconds before transferring to a parchment-lined sheet.
- Brush with melted butter.
- Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
- Ensure the water temperature is not too hot, or it may kill the yeast.
- Serve warm for the best flavor.
