Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ cup baking soda
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place in an oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and add baking soda.
  5. Boil each pretzel bite for about 30 seconds before transferring to a parchment-lined sheet.
  6. Brush with melted butter.
  7. Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 12 minutes or until golden brown.
