Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour and baking powder; set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in maple syrup.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients, alternating with milk. Fold in chopped walnuts.
  5. Fill cupcake liners two-thirds full and bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. For the buttercream, beat butter and powdered sugar until fluffy; gradually add maple syrup until desired sweetness is achieved.
