Delicious homemade banana bread made with ripe bananas and browned butter.

- 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (browned)
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat until golden and fragrant; set aside to cool slightly.
- In a bowl, mash the bananas until smooth yet chunky.
- Combine the mashed bananas with browned butter, both sugars, eggs, and vanilla extract; whisk until creamy.
- In another bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt, and optional cinnamon.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool slightly before slicing.
Notes
- Ensure bananas are very ripe for the best flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature.
