Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the milk, peanut butter, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.

  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are fine.

  4. Carefully fold the chocolate chips into the batter.

  5. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with cooking oil or butter.

  6. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on the other side. Repeat with remaining batter, adding more oil or butter as needed.
